Review on 🐠 ISpring RCC7D Deionizer: Achieve Spotless Aquariums with Ease! by Lagant Wardrick

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Desalination resin doesn't work

The reverse osmosis system itself gets 5 stars, the desalination filter doesn't work at all. The first was torn and the resin seeped into the water. I got a replacement from the company and the resin on the second one didn't work either. I refilled the filter with aftermarket resin and BAM is done. I cut out some rinse aerator screens and stuck them into the deionizer filter outlet fitting to keep the tar out of the water. I then swapped the inlet fittings on the deionizing filter and aroma filter so it goes through the deionizing filter first. The taste wasn't quite right yet, so I put in one of the alkaline filters after the flavor filter and now I have some of the best tasting water I've ever tasted straight from the tap. I've run a number of tests to prove the resin doesn't work, but I don't feel like entering all the TDS, Cl/Br, Hardness, etc tests I've run. I informed the company that they were looking for a new resin. UPDATE: I changed my rating to 5 stars because the company contacted me to say their resin issue has been resolved. I still recommend putting the DI filter before the flavor filter and adding the alkalinity filter they sell on their 123filter website. I can't personally confirm this, but you should get 0ppm TDS at the end of the system with one of your cheap TDS meters for $20 or less. If you have a new system and acidic or alkaline water, TDS levels above 0 etc then it's not working properly and contact the company - they have pretty good customer service.
