I got this laptop cooling pad because my new Dell laptop gets so much hotter than my old Toshiba (I don't know, why that's supposed to be the best car sigh but that's beside the point) and the fan gets REALLY hot/worked a lot. I don't like what this has to do with processing speed (and possibly long life). I also have a cooling pad for my super old HP whose exhaust fan stopped working and when I used it I figured any laptop would probably love it. So I got these too! In any case, this rug is great. The only thing I don't find ideal is that its fans are a bit louder than my other pad, but it wasn't bad. I dig 6 fans and the fact that you can only run 3 at a time from the dials on the back. The angle mechanism and flip tab for placing a laptop is good (many different angles possible), especially for a tablet/touch screen. (I would recommend being careful when carrying it and even assembling it, when moving it from one place to another one of the legs dangled and I bumped into something and broke it. Oops. But no problem with the product. I'm trying just doing too many things at once. And the little phone stand is a nice touch too, although my monster phone was a little big for it. The last factor is the colors of the LEDs, which looks really cool. And especially young people like it (my 10-year-old likes it). Quality than the usual cheap aftermarket ones that are otherwise available for such things. Good carpet! I would recommend it!
