Review on 🍲 5.3QT Electric Hot Pot with Burner - Perfect for Home Cooking & Family Parties! by Justin Boisvert

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sturdy, light and perfectly working saucepan

Hard to fault this saucepan. If you want to recreate Shabu Shabu/Mongolian Hot Pot at home, get as close to it as possible without a special table with recessed burners in the middle. This is a simple device with a three prong cable. , heating scale and removable aluminum pot. Clear glass lid with plastic handle on top. The bottom has three ribs on the sides that level the pan and prevent it from sliding off the stove. The plate itself is the same width as the bottom of the pot, resulting in even heating and quick cooking. There's even a quiet fan at the bottom that cools the sides and just keeps them warm to the touch on high heat settings (the boiler is still hot, of course). The boiler is designed to be shallow: a little deeper, and it will be difficult to reach sitting at the table. We found it handy for a ladle, tongs or chopsticks, even for our child. I believe the manufacturer could have put some sort of sleeve around the pot to prevent touching the hot sides, but that would be more of an added feature. than to improve the design. In any case, you could probably even swap out the pot for another to use the base as a stovetop. Anyway, we love this hot pot! If you want to share our experience, start with Little Sheep's hot food mix because it tastes just as good as the restaurant that makes it.
