No straight perch. The upward curve is too big, so the parrot has difficulty using it. Not what I expected. Very disappointed

Excellent Perch that keeps my Eclectic Claws neatly trimmed. I'm buying a second one for my little cockatiel/open eyed cockatoo whose claws are like long needles right now.

This perch is very well made. Unfortunately I had to return it because the space between the bars of the cage was too narrow. I was so disappointed because this is one of the BEST groupers I have ever seen. I highly recommend it if that's what you're looking for. Just make sure the gaps between the bars are at least 3/4 inch.

I bought this for its strength and rough texture to better control my parrot's claws. Unfortunately for some reason my parrot didn't like this perch. I was surprised she wouldn't use it after trying several places. I could use it as a secondary location within the habitat, but I was afraid any droppings would be difficult to separate from the rougher part of the pole.

I love that it's real wood and pumice stone has been added to help with claws and beaks. The only thing I see as a problem is the pumice stone which wears down with use and I honestly don't think it will last long. At least the ones I ordered. It's good though and I love it, just wish these things were at least longer for the price.

Very disappointed! It appears to be sandblasted manzanita (the bark has been removed because it is slippery). That would be nice, but they put artificial paint on the wood. The color will come off if you rub it, imagine if you try to clean it. I don't want my birds' beaks or paws to become discolored. I would try if they left the wood in its natural color. Come back. I'm disappointed in you, Sweet Feet & Beak!

I love this perch! You must get the right size. The bird should stand on the smooth part and the perch should be big enough so that its claws are on the sandy part. I hate hurting Blue Front by cutting her nails. After reading other people's reviews I got a great one. The problem was that the perch wasn't big enough to have its claws on the sandy part. I returned it to get an XL perch. It was the perfect size for my Blue Front. Her nails are much shorter now and don't look like little needles…

I have two green cheeked kennels and they love this perch. I have a small one and it's perfect for her feet. Both were a bit scared of him at first, but a day later they started to sit on him. Now this is her favorite place in the cage. Her nails are still long but definitely not as sharp as they used to be. I have ordered two more and hope her nails stay nice and trimmed over time. The fact is that these large macaw perches are attached to the trellis. You have to be able to handle a lot of pressure. Macaws are heavy birds. If the fasteners are flimsy, cheap, or just plain flimsy, the perch is useless. Absolutely! For example with a slotted plastic screw, which should make the bracket more durable. Nonsense!
