I love the art of writing and it's awesome to be able to write straight instead of going uphill. A simple tool, a time saver and the finishing touch I needed.

If you don't do calligraphy or have very nice artistic handwriting, this isn't for you. It looks strange if you just do the usual neat handwriting I had to return it.

When addressing envelopes, I always go to great lengths to look clean and even professional because it's so difficult to write in a straight line. It works really well to keep me in line.

It is exactly as advertised. Delivered on time and in perfect condition. This is a durable plastic template with markings to make it easy to calibrate your writing. It's perfect for printed lettering, but it can be tricky to use with italics if you have a lot of lower loop letters. Someone complained that there were no instructions for inscriptions in the kit. It gives you no inscription. You'll have to use your own handwriting, but this makes perfecting your presentation that much easier.

Overall I liked it but don't see myself being able to use a ton. Definitely not as much as I had planned. It could definitely have been a little more durable! I also wish the line wasn't so high that I could use it on standard envelopes.

I'm one of those crazy people who need clarity. I've always printed labels on envelopes at work instead of addresses so they always look straight. If you only have one envelope, it's just easier to write. I saw one of these in person recently and knew I had to have it. This is a game changer.

I used to use a ruler and pencil to mark my lines and then erase them after I wrote the address, but this caused smudges or lightened the envelope. For me, this is a great solution, although making sure you don't move it while typing takes a bit of getting used to. The only downside is that you are somewhat limited in the size you can create for your lettering. Fantastic tool if you still send a lot of "snail mail".
