These shoes have a very aggressive tread that is perfect if you are out on hiking trails or do a lot of gardening. The profile has studded rivets and profile teeth on the sides of the shoe that protrude for added traction on the trail. Probably not the best choice for a carpeted home, the side teeth got caught in my carpet. They're pretty well built and good looking, but definitely tougher. Comfort is a typical shoe for this price range, I find comfort acceptable. As said, they are probably more suitable for hiking than everyday wear. I ordered my normal size 10.5 and they fit perfectly.
