Review on 🚐 Hopkins 20146 8-Foot 7-Pin RV Blade Molded Trailer Cable by Trey Angus

I've been an auto technician for 30 years and am good at wiring and circuit testing. I purchased this item along with a Hoppy Endurance 7 RV Blade for a wiring repair project on my 20ft trailer and got a headache. After cleaning the trailer of all the old wiring, I installed the Hopkins 20146 wire in the junction box and made all the necessary and correct color coded connections, taking great care to ensure everything was correct. To my surprise, after some testing with a Fluke multimeter and double checking, nothing seemed to work right. What I found was a Hopkins 20146 8' 7 RV shaped leaf cable mated to the old style color code. No color was found for the Hoppy 7 RV connection as shown on their website. Well assembled product but cable color coding not for Hoppy 7 RV blade current color coding. PLEASE NOTE THIS WHEN PURCHASING! TO UPDATE! I contacted Hoppy tech support, they told me EVERYTHING! molded straps are color coded OLD STYLE. I informed them that this is not stated on their website. Viewing the trailer wiring on the item page will show the new color coding. HOPE PLEASE FIX THIS! I have updated my review as the product matches its design with OLD STYLISH color coding.
