Review on Jiayi 12 Pack Kitchen Cabinet Magnetic Catch - Stainless Steel Drawer Magnet for Strong Cupboard Door Closure - Cabinet Closer with Magnetic Latches for Cabinets by James Edwards

Works well, magnet body must be in contact with striker to work properly

This latch was used to close kitchen cabinet doors. Even if the magnet is 1mm from the striker plate it may not engage, making it somewhat sensitive to magnet contact with the striker plate. My closet's pull rods were low on the door, so I decided to add a magnetic catch to the bottom. Shelves just above the bar. Place the magnet on the cabinet door by hand, holding it by the cabinet frame or shelf, making sure you have a good overlap and the magnet is on the edge of the surface, ready to make contact with the hasp. Be sure to drill pilot holes in the middle of the magnet screw area so you can move the magnet forward or backward as needed with the same screw hole. After attaching the magnet with tape, "attach" the hasp to the closet door, press it against the magnet and see where it snaps onto the magnet; and move it up or down as needed. Once a good position is achieved, mark the drilling points with a pencil and it's time to drill pilot holes for the locking screws. In my experience there was some variation in the strength of the magnet, mainly due to the magnet's ability to hit the striker plate. As other people have pointed out, the included screws are zinc and are easy to remove. So do not use power tools to install the screws. A stainless steel coil spring may be required.
