I bought these zip ties to identify my striped rock chickens (they all looked the same otherwise). My husband and I carefully painted the right leg of each chicken a different color, checking from time to time to make sure it wasn't too tight. They are a lovely light color and just the right size for standard sized chicks. The colors aren't as bright as they used to be, of course, but you can still easily tell which chickens are which.
