These are old-fashioned starched cotton sheets, like my grandmother's. Yes, they wrinkle, and as other reviewers have said, taking them out of the dryer immediately helps. I've had them for a few months now and will be ordering another set in a moment. I love good sheets, but I have a very thick mattress and I'm tired of pulling and pulling sheets on the bed. I also love ruffled sheets and dislike synthetic fabrics so they work for me. I used to wash them with white vinegar, baking soda and hot water and that seems to have made them very soft. I expect these sheets to last for many years as they are nice and thick.
