I bought two of these lamps for the underground attic where I only go occasionally. While you can buy regular sized units just about anywhere, this is the first time I've found these with four LED strips, so I was hoping for double the brightness. And yes, you get twice the brightness. I'm deducting one star because both lamps I received came with batteries that initially died. After I replaced them with new batteries, they worked great. Another reason for the additional shutdown is that the color of the LEDs is very "cold" (towards the blue end of the spectrum). It's pretty annoying, but it helps. Although I don't give them five stars I would probably buy them again given the price, they're a good choice for quick and easy lighting in places where quality lighting isn't a factor.
