I don't have any dogs or children but I always do things outside and throw dirty and/or wet things in the car, sometimes in the back seat. It fits perfectly on the back seat of my Subaru Forester (2016). Two zips in the center section accept an armrest or allow me to fold down one side of the rear seat while keeping the other side protected. It can be difficult to buckle up, but I rarely have anyone in the back seat. Texture on the back and a couple of plastic tubes that fit into the seat's bottom hinge help keep it in place. Every time I take it off to shake off the dirt, I say thank you again for the purchase!
