Excellent light for children to read to before bed.I wanted something my 9 year old could read a bit before bed obviously not his idea.He tends to get up the moment his tv timer rings to have a drink or go to the bathroom to go. No matter how many times he is told to do this before he goes to bed. I got the idea to find a small lamp bright enough for him to read but with a timer. Mainly, because he is getting up or we are about to turn off the light which defeats the purpose.This light has a 10 minute timer so I go in at 9:20 and turn on the timer.By that time I had my steps Repeated 100 times and tries to get him to clean and put away toys and go to bed at 9:20 p.m. You just move it to the timer and it turns off after ten minutes. Who knows if he'll fall asleep faster now because when I try to ask he says "uh yeah" and looks right past me at what someone is showing on TV. Uh kids.
