Review on Leg Shield Reflective Ankle Bands: Large Surface Area, Bright Neoprene Straps for Biking, Running, Walking - Protects Pants from Chain! by Michael Miner

Anything that increases visibility helps with cycling and walking.

Seems like a good idea for my adult son who sometimes rides a bike in the dark but he wouldn't use it. He was ready to put on the headlight and taillight he was given, so at least that helps. If I were driving at dusk I would wear them. I have been teaching bike safety to school children for years and anything that makes you more visible is very helpful. My biggest safety tip for cyclists after years of working with young people with head injuries: Always wear a good bike helmet, every ride, every time you get on your bike, without exception! But I digress. Of course, these straps can also be used at night or at dusk by walkers or joggers, and they look like they would fit both skinny arms and ankles, unless you have large ones. . Moving body parts are more visible than, say, a reflective strip on a jacket, although that helps too. .
