I bought this through Amazon but at the time of my purchase the item wasn't available through Prime (I'm a main member) and it actually came from China - it's like it is. And he had to wait a long time. I shouldn't have ordered this knowing that. But when it arrived it was great. I have a 5 gallon aquarium and this pump has done a great job removing gravel or sand WHEN IT WORKS. I had it for about a month and that was it. I'm not picky and used it on a small tank. What "broken" or went wrong is a plastic valve in the hand pump that opens when you manually start pumping water to make it work and naturally closes when you let go to keep the siphon intact keep. Well, that valve or damper (mine is just a piece of plastic that I can't fix) won't reset or close, so it's not siphoning now! arrive (it was about 2 1/2 weeks) for the price it would be very profitable. However, as it didn't last a month it's now unusable and really cheaply made (which would be nice if it worked!) - it wasn't a good buy. I will replace it with something better than it will hold up. Most of the purchases I make are good, but that's not one of them. 2 stars for a good idea - good value for money and when it worked it worked fine but didn't last more than a month.
