This is a genuine Apple product that I received. Everything worked perfectly and as expected! I had to connect my iPhone or iPad to an "old" 30 pin iPod cable and everything was great until I realized I had to remove the case/cover every time to fit. I should probably read the other reviews or part of the Q&A that says this - it's my fault for not doing it! But. If that doesn't bother you and you're looking for an adapter that can not only help you charge your iOS device but also transfer sound (note that all the cheap products available on AMAZON don't have audio or video support!) - here's a great solution! I have played all my songs from my iPhone when connected to an old radio/speaker in my camper van with this "old" 30 pin iPod connector using this adapter with no problems! (I'm switching to a wired Apple MD824ZM/A just to make it more convenient/convenient for me and not remove the case/cover from my iPhone/iPad) Past but I bought this adapter about a week ago so July 2021 and I can confirm that it is an original product]
