#2 Heating oil or diesel leaks are very difficult to stop with chemical sealants. I've tried many, like JB Weld (which works fine joining broken things together), but when the tank is leaking they don't work. I had a very small leak on a 3 year old 275 gallon fuel tank. The tank was full. The leak was at the bottom of the tank. I wiped the oil off with a rag and then wiped it off again with a rag soaked in alcohol. The leak appeared after about 5 seconds of viewing. I sanded the area down to bare metal, wiped it down again and saw the leak coming out. This kit contains a small cube with some small things. But the instructions say to wipe the leak with it, which is what I did. I was amazed to see that seepage had stopped. A cube of material that seemed quite hard became sticky which stopped the leak! I cut the 1 inch square of fiberglass that came with the kit, mixed a small amount of the two part materials and applied it to one side of the fiberglass patch and pressed it against the leak on the tank. A flat piece of wood instead of the brush provided to apply the rest of the material to the patch and it set in about 5 minutes. I had a lot more 2K stuff left over, so I mixed up about the same amount and smeared it up. slightly larger area for reinforcement Tank no longer leaks The product has worked very well for me.
