Review on Fellowes 35250 Powershred Performance Extension by James Jack

I bought this product to use with a Fellowes chopper I bought from Revain over two years ago. Like most people, I did NOT read the shredder's owner's manual and didn't realize that the manufacturer recommends lubricating the blades fairly regularly. Long story short, I used a paper shredder and it stuck with me for abuse. The crosscut blades move backwards but not forwards, and it doesn't even recognize that you have a sheet of paper in the input. After receiving the goods two days later, I cut off the tip and oiled the blades through the chopper inlet. A quick call to Fellowes tech support revealed that there was an obstruction in the way of the "paper detector" and as soon as I removed it the shredder worked properly again. I highly recommend this product if you have a chopper, but I especially recommend it if you have a Fellowes chopper. Amazing product and great tech support make it a must buy.
