I bought this to install 22 pull rods with a 5" center and M4 screws. I have a Rockler mount but it has fixed holes for the most common distances and doesn't go up to 5 inches. Install the rails, and then pull on the rail to ensure the holes on the rail line up exactly with the tensioning holes. The regular 3/16" bit is messy in the pilot holes so I bought some 5mm bits. They just fit the 5.03mm guide. The template wobbles when I drill, so I clamped the template every time. My Rockler jig is for marking only I think this is the best way as I use this jig primarily for marking. I had to center some of the larger shaker box fronts I've made. I'm glad I bought them because I can use them on any pen size.
