Because it mounts to a drywall without bolts, I had to find and avoid bolts first. At first I thought I could use the pins for at least one of the two screws on top, but I gave up. In my case I'm mounting on the wall at the end of the room so the studs are in odd places to mount my 27" monitor in relation to the table and chair! And it worked great for this place. Just a note. I have this: a 19" to 60" mount :) The two rods that attach to the TV/screen are long and protrude about 2" below the base of my 27" LG monitor. This is just a minor complaint. Otherwise it's perfect, stable, I was able to install it in about 15 minutes. Great buy for price and functionality.
