There is not enough body/thickness/weight for the lid.
I like the idea of this cover and it's well done; but it's a little flimsy so won't stay in place. The part that covers the back of the sofa almost has to be sewn into the hem with heavy weights so that it doesn't fall back onto the seat base. I simply tucked the entire backing into the back of the seat cushion. We have to change the position of the parts that cover the seat and armrests every time we stand up or before we sit down again.
