Type of review

I'm a bit baffled and frustrated by the unanimously positive reviews of this thing, even though it's a GREAT concept. At 6" width, it's just too thin for any of my surge protectors to actually fit in when they're loaded down with AC adapters. For a power strip to properly accommodate "brick"-style adapters, all sorts of design considerations are in order on the part of the person creating the power strip, but pretty much all of those considerations - properly spacing and staggering the outlets…

Pros
  • Black color complements any office decor
Cons
  • It may not be a practical choice for those who frequently move their workspace or rearrange their office

Good idea, a bit expensive at $30.

I bought it together with Belkin 12-Outlet Home/Office Surge Protector with 8 ft. Cord, Telephone and Coaxial Protection here: http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000J2EN4S as this was in the Frequently Bought Together section. The Belkin 12-Outlet Surge Protector barely fits into the box, but is shallow enough to accommodate wrapped up cables. I imagine you would have to buy right angle coaxial adapters to fit coax cable in there, but I'm not sure of the spacing (as I have my box closed at the moment).

Pros
  • Available in Black, White, Moonlight Blue, and Light Sage
Cons
  • The CableBox may arrive with sharp edges that could lead to injury or damage cords

Excellent product, but.

This is a great product for hiding tons of cables and adapters. HERES WHAT YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW:When you open the CableBox, there is a flyer for social media on the inside bottom. As you remove it, be VERY CAREFUL to pull up as much (if not all) of the adhesive holding the flyer, WITH the flyer. If you do not do this, it will leave a ton of glue-like substance on the bottom and you will NOT BE ABLE TO REMOVE IT. I spent 2-3 hours scrubbing at it with All-Purpose cleaner and 99% rubbing…

Pros
  • Improves productivity by eliminating the distraction of messy cords
Cons
  • It may not be the most cost-effective solution compared to other cord management options

Very pleased with this

Very pleased with this. I was skeptical about the price tag, but have to say that the area under my (glass) desk looks SO much better with this.I have a PC, a Mac, 2 flat panel monitors, 3 external hard drivers, a cordless phone, a desk lamp and multiple USB hubs on my desk so there are a LOT of cables running to a couple of power strips. One of these units has a 12 outlet Belkin powerstrip inside of it and it JUST fits the width (plenty of room lengthwise) - I don't have 12 items plugged into…

Pros
  • CB-01-BL
Cons
  • The black surface may show scratches and other wear and tear over time, leading to less aesthetic appeal

Concise Review ::: Get it - You Will Thank Yourself!

If you're looking to organize the clutter behind your TV or office table, or have an entertainment system with multiple components with wires running all over the place I would highly recommend this little box of perfection. You can use conduits or clean wire ties to organize the mass of audio and power cables, but the surge protector is going to need a home.PROS:- Available in different sized to fit any need- Sturdy construction and solid feel- Looks and feels like a quality product making it…

Pros
  • Perfect for organizing cords and keeping them hidden! Have several sizes now and love them all :)
Cons
  • The CableBox only comes in black, limiting aesthetic options for those who prefer other colors

Call a Spade a Spade

This product is really a plastic box with a fantastic pitch. And as a box, it's not even that nice. Its walls are thin and you can see color inconsistencies on the lid. But it delivers. You can easily fit a power strip and all the cables you need inside. If you bundle your wires using twist or cable ties, it's not that hard to fit two power strips in there. There are two rubber pads on the bottom to keep it from sliding around, even on hardwood. Dust won't be a major issue, it's sealed well…

Pros
  • BlueLounge
Cons
  • The design may not work well with cables that require more flexibility or maneuverability

Pricey but totally worth it

It does the job very well. People voiced two main criticisms: 1. it is "just" a plastic box and is pricey for what it is; 2. It isn't large enough to store the bulky plugs + power bricks that the target demographic has.I think those criticisms are not that valid. Here's why:1. There are different kinds of plastic. You have the other Chinese knock offs that you're probably seeing in the Revain "people who viewed this product also viewed." section. The reason why they are cheaper…

Pros
  • 6.25" x 16" x 5.25"
Cons
  • The lid may not stay open on its own, making it challenging to navigate cords while attempting to maintain the lid position

Great way to tidy up power strip and cables

If you hate that rat's nest of wires under your desk, this is a nice way to tidy things up a bit. I have three CPUs, a professional volume laser printer, and several peripheral devices. The tangle under my desk was collecting dust and was probably a fire hazard. I kept kicking things with my feet while working. This box was the perfect size (slightly narrower than a shoe box) and fit my power strip plus all my excess cables. I used it along with some magnetic cable ties (inexpensive and more…

Pros
  • 5.5 x 16 x 6.5 inches
Cons
  • The CableBox may not be practical for larger office setups with multiple power strips and cable messes

Great way to hide unsightly cords and cables

Great way to organize and declutter your cables, wires, and power cords. I got this for the living room entertainment system. I have my TV, receiver, blu-ray player, streaming device, universal home control hub plugged into a power strip. Adding to the mess of wires was an ethernet router and the accompanying ethernet wires plugged into the devices. That mess of cables and wires was placed in an open top basket in my attempt to confine the mess. It looked like some kind of twisted bird's…

Pros
  • Fits wide and long surge protectors with extra space for cord slack and adapters
Cons
  • Dust may accumulate inside the CableBox, making it difficult to clean

Cords push top up; Needs clip in lid

This is a good product and serves it purpose. If I found a need to have a hole in the side, I'd simply drill one. The only problem I have is that I shove so many cords in that they push against the top, subsequently pushing the top up. This could be solved with a lid that locks or clicks in. For the time being, I put a piece of electrical tape to hold the lid down and am satisfied with that because the box is somewhat hidden. I will keep this box, but look for a second box that has a lid that…

Pros
  • Saves time and reduces frustration by keeping cords in order
Cons
  • The CableBox may not be compatible with certain electronic devices or cords

Simple, sturdy, clean

These simple little boxes are great for what I needed, getting a clean look. The plastic is thicker than what I expected, it's plenty sturdy enough. The lids fit tight with no issue either. My only complaint is all in all these are a little pricy for simple plastic boxes. But they get the job done. As other reviews said they do still have the adhesive paper in the bottom that you almost cant get up, but it's inside the box so it won't ever really be seen, so not as huge of a deal to me as other

Pros
  • Made from high-density, flame-retardant plastic
Cons
  • It may not accommodate larger power bricks without leaving the lid slightly ajar, creating an unsightly gap in the design

Surprisingly good product

This works a lot better than I expected. I also thought it would be a lot harder to work with than it was. We have a HDTV, surround sound with receiver, two video game systems, a DVD player, a Roku, wires going to the speakers and a cable box. Our television is mounted up on the stand's mounts so the wires are dangling and also bunched up on the floor behind the stand. By using this, I was able to group all the wires and cords together then run them up in a single Promaster sleeve so it looks…

Pros
  • Imported
Cons
  • It is relatively expensive for a cord management system

If it's what you need, it's perfect.

Okay. I admit it. The negative reviewers have their points. This is a brittle plastic box. It's too small for a good surge protector, and it's too large for a small power strip. And whatever its use, it's a bit pricey. But I'll tell you, it met my needs exactly. All of my normal chords and plugs and boxes and modems and routers are mounted invisibly on the back of a computer credenza. That was not my problem. My problem was one medium sized power strip near my nightstand. It has 3 chargers, an…

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • It may be challenging to insert and remove cords and cables from the small side openings

I recommend this product.

Great product for what it's supposed to do. Cleans up power supplies and wires great. My bigger 12 prong power supply can even fit in it. These are great if you own a cat or dog to help hide and protect your cables and wires.

Pros
  • Cord Management
Cons
  • The CableBox may not be sturdy enough to support additional objects placed on top like a printer

Perfect for all those wires!

This one little box has made a huge difference in my home office. Cables were everywhere. No only was it unsightly, but the cords attract a LOT of dust. But now, I have one box, with a cord going in and one coming out. All the other wires, and even the power strip are concealed. No more mess and no more dust!

Pros
  • That’s amazing
Cons
  • It may take up valuable desk space, especially if your desk is already cluttered
