If you hate that rat's nest of wires under your desk, this is a nice way to tidy things up a bit. I have three CPUs, a professional volume laser printer, and several peripheral devices. The tangle under my desk was collecting dust and was probably a fire hazard. I kept kicking things with my feet while working. This box was the perfect size (slightly narrower than a shoe box) and fit my power strip plus all my excess cables. I used it along with some magnetic cable ties (inexpensive and more forgiving for later adjustment than zip ties) and it really cleaned things up under my desk. The lid fits snug but can be easily removed. I can now easily fit a vacuum under there without risk of damaging my electronics. It's also sturdy enough to rest your feet on. I was worried about heat but after a couple of months of use, the interior feels about room temp so it must be adequately ventilated. Great product for the intended use.
