I am a runner who recently switched to cycling. I didn't want to buy a brand new GPS module, so this seemed like the perfect way to make using the Garmin Forerunner 305 practical for both running and cycling. After a few rides on a bike with a handlebar mount, I can say that the Forerunner is really secure on the mount and easy to put on and take off. My only disappointment is not being able to tighten the zip ties tight enough to keep the carry bag from moving a bit on the handlebars on rough roads (I ride a hybrid). A couple of times, when I was riding a rougher pavement, the stand would move enough to rotate completely on the handlebars, leaving the Garmin face down. It's a testament to how good Garmin's mounting clips are that the Forerunner didn't fall out. However, perhaps a more secure method of attaching the mount to the handlebars would have been a solid Velcro strap rather than plastic zip ties. Anyway, I found this mount to be excellent in most road conditions and would have given it five stars if it had been less prone to misalignment.
