Great backlight, weird switch

I bought two of these and both are surprisingly bright. Even outdoors on a bright sunny day they provide a useful visible spotlight when needed. But the switch is strange. It's a red button on the opposite end of the light source that toggles between 5 settings - super bright, normal, dimmed, fast flash, and slow flash. So if you use Super Brightness once and want to do it again, you have to press that button 9 more times! Each setting requires a press and release, and you must use each setting to return to where you started. Will the dial to set the fixed choice be too complicated for the average user?
