Holds the bonnet slightly open

Easier to fit than the liftgate I replaced previously. One end is threaded so it can be removed. This makes installation easier. You'll see what I mean when you look at this. There is no mention of this in the installation instructions that came with it. I installed it on a 2005 Dodge Magnum RT Hemi.
