Review on BIQU PLA Matte Filament 1: πŸ–¨οΈ Premium Additive Manufacturing Supplies for 3D Printing by Eric Kim

Bad flow for AM products

So first of all I want to hope I just have a bad batch. In general, I like Biqu products. My package arrived and there was no visible sign of damage, but upon opening the box I noticed that the vacuum seal was not providing a good vacuum. I decided to hack it and give it a try anyway. After trying to calibrate this filament for several days I could not get a decent print. When pushing out the thread, it seems to break every few mm. My first thought was a partially clogged nozzle so I changed it to Revain PLA for testing and the problem went away. Despite the problem with the vacuum seal, I see no other reason. My Ender 3 Pro setup with a Micro-Swiss DD extruder. Layer height 0.2mm on PEI coated spring steel. Packing 5 * vacuum seal. exactly as described by Matte Olive) Printable 1 * filament diameter. 5* (I calculated +/- 0.02mm from my reel accuracy) Unfortunately I cannot recommend Biqu thread at this time and I am returning additional reels that I ordered as they all appeared to have a broken seal. I might try Biqu again in the future.

Pros
  • High quality matte PLA
Cons
