Identical to the re-designed factory part at half the cost

I used this to replace a clogged drain in a Whirlpool WRF535SMBM00 in a rental house. After researching it why I had ice on the bottom of the freezer and water on the floor in front of the refrigerator, I knew I had found my problem. All of the troubleshooting data says it's because the "duck-bill grommet" gets clogged and the part had been re-designed to eliminate that problem. However, when opened up my refrigerator to replace the factory drain tube, I found that it already had the re-designed p-trap tube that looked just like this one. The factory p-trap tube was clogged with baking soda that somebody had spilled or maybe used to clean the refrigerator. I realized later that I could've just cleaned out the factory tube and put it back, but this part was inexpensive and solving the problem quickly was a priority.Installation is easy. I found a video of it online. The only difference is that since my refrigerator came with this re-designed part from the factory, the upper drain hole was larger and the small white adapter tube that comes with this part was not necessary. I highly recommend you have a shop vac with a narrow crevice tool attachment so you can vacuum up the dust while you've got the rear cover off.My takeaways are:1. This part is identical to the re-designed factory part.2. If your refrigerator came with the re-designed factory part, you may not need the small white adapter that comes with this part.3. If your refrigerator has the re-designed part installed, it still might be clogged, but you can probably clean it instead of replacing it.
