Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice 2 205/50 R17 93T winter by Stanisaw Lipowski ᠌

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

The first experience of riding Velcro, before that I always went with spikes. After changing the tires, I got great pleasure from driving comfort. The rubber is very soft and quiet. When driving, all the joints on the road and other bumps are swallowed by the rubber, which is good news. The cabin is very quiet, you can only hear the engine during acceleration from a standstill and my pads, which I did not hear on the spikes. Initially, I was embarrassed that there were only nine reviews and all were positive, but in the end I was convinced of the objectivity of opinions. Indeed, the rubber is softer to the touch than the others (sidewall), this is felt during acceleration - it starts from a standstill not as briskly as before on a studded Hakapelite, but for a calm driving style it’s just right. The feeling on the pavement is as if the rubber is literally very sticky and clung to the pavement. Hope there are no durability issues. I expect the same good performance in the snow.

Pros
  • Incredibly soft and quiet, excellent traction on pavement
