Review on 🔧 Enhanced DEWALT Tracksaw Anti-Splinter Strip Replacement (DWS5029) by Kris Feezy

I carefully removed any existing shatterproof strips from my DeWalt rail and stripped the old adhesive completely down to the bare aluminum and then cleaned with alcohol. When I applied the first strip I was very careful not to dust to ensure a good, strong hold. When I went back to rewind the strip with a J-roll (for good pressure and hold) I noticed that the strip had literally fallen off. I opened the second pack and noticed no adhesion, it literally doesn't stick to anything. I think I got duct tape from the dollar store with a stronger adhesive. The date on the boxes says '2019 xx-GD' so maybe it's just an issue with that batch or the age of the product but I don't think the glue should fail after a year in the box. I ended up sending both boxes back and ordering a different brand.
