I have had this straightener for 5 years now. Let me just say this stuff makes my crazy hair manageable. I have very thick, very coarse hair. My sister is a stylist and even has a hard time with my hair. She bought me this as a gift 5 years ago as I only used a lousy $30 iron. This thing was sent from heaven! It makes my coarse hair smooth and soft. I accidentally dropped the one I had while using it. He hit a ceramic tile floor and the plate broke off. I immediately bought a new one. Then I came across a video on YouTube about repairing with epoxy. Eventually I got my trusty iron fixed, but this new one was already on its way to me. I keep the new one as a reserve. I will never use anything other than a flat iron on my crazy hair ever again. 5 stars across the board!
