This unit works for me. There are no problems with printer detection. I had a few issues connecting to my Linksys wireless network, but it was just a matter of using the correct key sequence. As with every Linksys device I've ever purchased, the setup utility on the CD wasn't able to identify the device on the network so I had to set it up manually through the web interface, but after about an hour it worked and continued to print my HP Laserjet 1100 parallel printer. Speed is ok, range is not great, but could be related to my home and network. I also had to reinstall the printer on the PC that uses it and that can be a bit of a hassle. It works, but I have to say that Linksys has really gone into decline over the past two years, with worse software, less reliable hardware, and more performance issues in general. They used to be flag bearers, now they're hardly average. It works for me though, so I think I'm lucky.
