This is not USB3. See my picture. This means that 1080P30 will not stream as YUYV 4:2:2, only as MJPEG with significant loss of quality. It pretends to be USB3, it's a standard white USB2 A-to-A jumper. Keep in mind that now about half of the HDMI USB capture devices advertised as USB3 are actually just USB2 even though they have a blue connector. I was able to find some that are actually USB3 and pass YUYV at max resolution and frame rate. Although nobody does 4:4:4, this 4:2:2 is still much better than MJPEG. There is a significant difference in the quality of the resulting image. The MJPEG they use on other occasions has significant compression artifacts that are permanently stored with the video produced by such devices.
