This is a pretty decent mouse for the price that you pay for it. Never once did I second-guess my decision to purchase it. In point of fact, I required a wireless mouse that also featured side buttons when I first got started. Also, the firmware performs really well, and it allows you to independently configure ALL buttons to run a variety of apps. A significant advantage for me was the fact that pressing the wheel in the opposite direction activates what is basically an extra button. I programmed the side buttons to copy and paste, and I assigned the wheel the functions of canceling and selecting everything. In addition, there is a gadget known as a Unifying Receiver that allows users to link multiple Logitech wireless devices to a single receiver. It can be used for both work and recreation. In games that need a lot of response time, you probably won't be able to tell the difference unless you're a Very Pro gamer. To sum it up, it is absolutely worthwhile; get it, and be happy about it!
