Review on ๐ŸŽฎ EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti XC Ultra Black Gaming - High-performance GPU with 6GB GDDR6 and Dual HDB Fans by Charles Lardieri

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Updated from EVGA 1060 6G OC, happy with 1080p resolution difference

This is a great card for 1080p gaming and the performance gain on my modest system makes the upgrade from the excellent EVGA 1060 6G OC noticeable. I was afraid the difference wouldn't be worth the cost, but so far I like the result. I chose EVGA based on the build quality and durability of the last few EVGA cards I've owned and there's no reason to think this card will be any different. I have an I5-4400 on an old Dell MB with 16GB DDR3 RAM. and a 750W power supply in a Coolermaster case. This is a budget rig, and this budget map allows you to run Insurgency: Sandstorm at a top speed of 75 fps on all settings. On the 1060 I would lower the settings to get a smooth gaming experience. The CIV6 runs like a champ and the 1060 will chug a bit late in the game. The fan noise is the same or less than what I have on the 1060. It takes up three slots, so make sure you have room, or look for a dual fan. Execution. The bottom line is that if you have a moderately good processor with enough RAM and the right power supply, and enough real estate in your case to support a 3-slot profile, you can get the most out of this card. but the most advanced games in 1080p for less than three counts. This card will appeal to gamers on a budget.
