The technology is frozen compared to basic silicon, but there are still improvements in what you could call multitasking support. I'm using an inexpensive processor and motherboard, but there's room for upgrades, although the ceiling isn't that high. The Asus motherboard P7P55D LE uses all 16 GB. limited to 4GB chips, which has made it a must-have, at least for now. The price was reasonable and the only reason I get crashes is crappy programmers. Windows Server 2008 disables crappy programming, so all is well here.
