Our 7 month old grandson loves the toy. I won't say he likes it more than his other musical toys, but he takes them to play with. It develops fine motor skills with the help of moving parts. This will entertain him briefly until he grabs something else and then goes back to it. It's very easy for him to hold, chew and throw lol. He seemed pretty solid. As another reviewer wrote, when I first bought it it seemed like something could get my hand or foot snagged on it, but again it managed to get out with no issues. I would still recommend viewing with this toy for younger children whose motor skills are not fully developed. It seems to have gotten more interesting to him as he's grown, so I suspect he'll be around for some time to come. In the end, I'm happy with this purchase, and so is he! :)
