Updated Review of Orbit Marine Pro. So I had serious issues with the overall light output of this flashlight. I felt it lacked the ability to create PAR levels as Current advertises. So I refrained from sending it back thinking I would at least give the coral a chance to fully acclimate and see what kind of reaction I get. The first thing I noticed was that most of my corals weren't expanding at all. This is after a week of working in acclimation mode, constantly adjusting the overall intensity and color balance. Nothing I've tried has made her happy. Then I noticed that the device had 4 LEDs that refused to turn on. So I ordered a replacement and hooked it up. Everything was fine with the new light, it seemed brighter than the first. and all LEDs work. My corals are more responsive and stretch much better. Nothing like what they used under my old LED light mind you, but it showed promise. Then disaster struck. The timer module decided to fail and refused to stick to the set schedule even when choosing presets. Since I still had the other one, I replaced the controller and went to the trouble of reprogramming it. However, this one refused to let me tweak the presets, even though the manual said otherwise. I ended up dialing only to have the power off the next day. I also changed it to another one and of course I had to redo the whole programming process again. Four hours later, this bunch of shit light starts doing exactly the same thing as the original. The timer went haywire and started randomly switching modes on its own. I thought it might be related to another IR remote so I put the controller in a paper bag myself, but no luck. It just got crazier. I turned it off and on again and after that only the white channel lights came on. The blue channel does not turn on at all. So I sent both back. For the price Current is charging for this device, they should be able to contribute something to their quality control department.
