Before I decided on the CanoScan N122OU, I did a lot of research on scanners. Several brands and models came equipped with the high-resolution output I need for my hobby photography, but the deciding factors for me in choosing this model were: 1) It's very thin and light - PLUS it can be stored upright on my desk. (My old scanner was heavy, big and took up a lot of space.) 2) I had faith in the Canon brand - and still do. Having made a choice, I have no regrets. It was easy to set up and use (I can even use it standing up - a pretty handy feature I wasn't aware of when I made my choice). I am satisfied and would recommend it to anyone who needs a high quality, easy to use and easy to store scanner.
