It could have been a great product, but it had one downside for us.

It could have been a great product but for us it had a flaw that limited its usefulness. We have a 12 1/2 year old boxer who had a stroke. As a result, he slipped and fell trying to walk on our hardwood floors. To help him balance, we bought these boots. The ones we use on his hind legs work great. They don't come off his legs and help him a lot to keep his balance. However, the ones we use for his front paws are practically useless (all 4 are identical). I would recommend companies to make specific boots for the front and back legs instead of making all 4 boots the same size. The front gaiters should be longer at the top and have velcro at the very top as there is no way to adjust the front gaiters to stay on the dog's legs. We tried everything (lots of ways to adjust them) and ended up buying an extra velcro strap to wrap over the top of the boot. This helps them stay, but we still have to look for a missing shoe that fell off while our dog was out walking. I have no regrets buying these boots as the ones on his rear feet have helped a lot with his rehabilitation and he walks quite well with two rear boots but we wanted boots for him to be worn outdoors during our winter season as well so that his feet and paws are not covered with a crust of frozen precipitation clinging to its legs. If you make the suggested changes to the front boots to make them long enough to close more securely, you'll be the absolute winner!
