Use "Child Safe "

As my 3 year old was sleeping last week, he decided to open all the windows and yelled through them. Please note that our windows in this room have a built in latch that blocks the opening of the window. He managed to open the window without undoing those latches. I didn't find any child resistant items that I was sure wouldn't hack or overpower, so I decided to order these AND some additional child resistant items. I installed them while he wasn't looking - that's the main thing. They're pretty easy to turn off. I don't want him to know they're there until he opens the window. They emit a loud beep or an alarm, depending on which setting you choose. You can also turn it off. I had to put mine on the right side of the window so as not to block access to the options panel. The battery is mounted towards the room for easy access but the problem is that my son cannot access the batteries. It would be bad if he ate one but he seems to have passed that stage already so I hope everything will be ok. I think you could install this another way by placing the batteries against the window but then you would have to replace the sticker when changing them and I don't think it would install either. In my ideal world, this battery pack would be difficult to open. It works better for my sliding door because I was able to mount it so high that he could never reach it. I used an alarm for his room and a bell for the sliding door. As you can see from the photo, the pieces don't have to be placed perfectly next to each other (for my windows and doors they couldn't fit exactly next to each other).
