Easy and simple assembly. Female with a little "IKEA" assembly experience had no trouble with this at all. 35 minutes from beginning to end including unpacking and cleanup. Tools required for me were a drill and a rubber mallet. The shelves are sturdy the baskets are decent and easy to assemble. All bolts and screws were included. it's adorable! I'm strongly concerned purchasing the larger size.
