. Overall this is a good but not great shelf. Assembly was labor intensive which is why there are so many screws with unclear instructions. But once this obstacle was overcome, everything turned out to be fine. It's not exactly stable, I had to use some plastic spacers to keep it balanced. And the materials are not premium. Instead, it's made of mediocre chipboard that looks like faux wood. However, the form factor and retro 1970s design looks cool and does what I need it to. It's fine for a pantry or a casual office, but lacks the quality and sophistication to justify being placed in a living room.
