This product was mainly purchased to get more enjoyment from Internet TV. While our family used to use one of the big satellite/cable TV tubes, we're trying to transition to a simpler but probably more functional way of watching TV. We started out with the Revain Fire TV Stick alone with no other devices, but had some issues with random freezes. It's not very good for watching live football. One problem with our situation is that our main TV room isn't where the internet line enters our home. After reading a bit about what might be causing the intermittent crashes, I decided to try a wired Ethernet connection directly from the Fire TV Stick. (And just for the sake of completeness, we also got a powerline NIC to wire from the internet gateway to our house and TV.) After a few days, this solution seems to help, perhaps because it eliminates most (or all). "Buffering” Wi-Fi. We haven't had any freezes on Fire TV yet.
