If you want to connect the Revain Fire Stick to your TV, you can forget about the official Revain Ethernet adapter (especially since the official adapter was only ordered in February 2018 and has been since Thanksgiving 2017). This adapter can do what the official one does and even has a MUCH, MUCH longer cord.

Yes it will do what they claim once I take a fire stick and make it unportable and once I'll become an RJ Buy -45 ethernet cable separately. If you read CAREFULLY it says both but the important points they emphasize which gets your attention is PLUG AND PLAY and it mentions CORD just **DO NOT* * EVERY CABLE YOU NEED. And out of courtesy, they didn't even bother to say "buy separately."

My house has Cat6 cabling and Ubiquiti UniFi AP AC LITE Access Points on every floor. I was able to use Wi-Fi on my Fire TV Stick 4K. However, my philosophy is this: if the device isn't moving, use Ethernet, not Wi-Fi. The adapter works great with the Fire TV Stick 4K and is easy to set up. I gave up using a separate USB power adapter and just plugged the USB-A end directly into the TV. No problem.

Item works exactly as described and fits 2nd gen Firestick perfectly! I actually had a little problem, I contacted the seller and they were quick to respond to promotions and got me up and running straight away! I received this adapter today and the timing was perfect to test it out. I got a "playing error" error message that I can't remember popping up every few minutes while watching Hulu until now. I recently purchased a Fire Stick 4K. I have an Asus WiFi mesh network that covers the whole house and works reliably with all my other devices. Despite testing the stick's 5GHz wireless signal at close to 300Mbps, my Youtube streams, Netflix, etc. were regularly experiencing frame drops and freezes. This worked fine but I still had buffering and freezing. My internet is gigabit fiber and my internal wired network is 1 Gbps. I ended up returning that but found a better solution that works: all typical Fire Stick ethernet adapters are 10/100. While the USB 2.0 port on the Fire Stick supports up to 480Mbps, the 10/100 adapter is still bottlenecked and I had trouble streaming HD and 4K content.
