We had a problem with our two mastiffs barking at everyone who passed our house. Our eldest never did, but our youngest did, and before we knew it we both started barking whenever someone passed the house. And since they were big dogs, it scared some people. I was quite skeptical about this type of product and read a lot of reviews ranging from "this thing is awesome" to "my dog doesn't respond to it at all". But it was cheap and I was willing to take the risk. I invited it in and then went out onto the porch and waited for someone to come by. It wasn't long before they actually started barking like crazy. I pointed the device at her and pushed the button. Both of them immediately responded in a way I had never seen before. They definitely didn't like the sound. I personally haven't heard anything, but they definitely did! The barking stopped immediately and both dogs just lay down on the carpet. My button was only pressed for one second. That's all it took. I repeated this process a few more times over the next two days and that was it. That's all they needed and now we have quiet and calm dogs when people pass by our house. I can't guarantee your dogs will have the same experience, but I have no doubts about the effectiveness of this device. For us it was worth the money!
