Eureka Strikes Again

I rarely fully agree with the Eureka Timberline. I think this is the best all round tent that works in a variety of conditions. Given the opportunity to try another Eureka tent, I have to say I'm almost as impressed. It's good for casual backpackers and hikers. It has some great features including a storage bag with a shoulder strap so you can easily take it with you when you travel without a backpack. The bars are strong and the rain cover is quite reliable. I will use it for most of my future camping trips. I wish it had been last year when I went to Big Bend National Park because that would have been perfect. It's not the smallest tent in the pack, but it's not too big either. My plan for this (when I'm not camping) is to keep it in my car's truck for emergencies as it's relatively small and doesn't take up too much space in the truck. It's also very wide. I would like some of that width to be converted to height, but that would be very handy for two people, and even two people with a small child.

Pros
  • Great Construction
Cons
  • No Cannon
