I have two Samsung S24B30BL monitors with DVI-D and VGA inputs. I've been using them on my desktop computer with dual DVI outputs for over 6 years. I recently tried connecting my work laptop to these monitors, one with an HDMI to DVI adapter (which I've had for years) and the other with this USB-C to DVI adapter. Unfortunately, the output on my screen via this adapter is incorrect. The image is compressed horizontally, with the left half of the screen displayed on the right side of the monitor, the right half of the screen displayed on the left side of the monitor, and a black stripe with a magenta stripe in the middle. At first I thought it was a defective adapter and requested a replacement from Revain, but the replacement behaves the same way. I've followed the troubleshooting steps on the Cable Matters website - double checked I have the latest Thunderbolt firmware, USB drivers and video drivers, in fact I've updated to ALL the latest drivers from DELL and it's still working Not. The USB-C port works fine as I use the USB-C port at work to connect two 27" HDMI monitors via a USB-C dock. I suspect it's just this device. Quality device and reasonable price.
