Review on Bessey BVMPV5 Versatile Vise by Sean Bond

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent vise for the price

I needed a new vise for my workbench. I also needed something I could use to work with irregularly shaped parts from time to time, so a universal vise was fine. I looked around and found that the Bessey has the best specs for the money while other multi-purpose vises cost over $200. 5" hole, 3" deep enough for me for everything. These vises are made in China but are well made and smooth. I'm taking off a star because the base is pretty loose when twisted, but fine when tightened. The only thing that worries me is that it will break because it is not known if its parts are cast iron or cast steel. See the uploaded image in the photo. Decent vise for the price!
