Patience, young grasshopper. I've used this 3 or 4 times. Works like a charm every time. You can put fish in there but I wouldn't recommend it. I fill my tank with RO, feed imaginary fish every day or every other day for a week, dump it all out, ammonia and nitrite are falling, nitrate is pretty low too, but I'm waiting a few days before adding anything. Around day 2 or 3 all 3 drop to almost 0 and then you are assured of your safety. I once heard "when in doubt change the water" that's the best advice I've ever received.
